Double standard.

It’s almost 2 am and while I was in deep pre-sleep thought, something occurred to me. There are always double standards in society, but one that dawns on me just now is the concerning the philosophy of how society expects of men and women. Men are supposed to be strong, calm, protective, and bread-winners of the family (traditionally that is). Women are supposed to be weak, submissive, needing protection, and child-raisers. Quite frankly society sympathizes with women more than men. For example, a couple ends a relationship. Automatically a person who knows nothing of the situation assumes that it is the man to blame. Hardly ever does the assumption favor the man. Which brings me to the point of this post, even though all this text is unnecessary and I think I digress so far that when I say it everyone will be like, “wtf, this has nothing to do with that mass of words.”

When you see a girl cry sympathize with her, but remember girls do that all the time. When you see a guy cry, shit is all bad.
